- After joining the company in 1980, he was put in charge of sales and planning in Japan and overseas.
- In 1998, he oversaw product planning for the original Lexus RX (known as the Harrier in Japan). He also participated in planning for the launch of the Lexus brand in the Japanese market.
- He was posted to New Zealand from 1988 to 1990 and in the United States (Los Angeles) from 2003 to June 2008.
- In July 2008 he has been appointed to his current position (General Manager of LEXUS Product & Marketing Planning Division), where he is in charge of global product planning, pricing and sales for the Lexus brand.
