There had been a much talked-about topic that the iQ GAZOO version is being produced. Following such rumor, what the GAZOO editor team witnessed was…
The Tokyo Auto Salon is the world's largest event of tuning cars.
It is the much-awaited event where each maker or automobile tuner exhibits the tuning cars and receive direct feedback from the participating automobile fans. In such event, the iQ GAZOO version also received the eye of many automobile fans.

When we finally met the GAZOO version at the GAZOO Racing booth in the Makuhari Messe, its appearance looked quite different from that in our impression which we had at the Toyota Motor Sports Festival.
It was wearing the lacy-type wheels that made the car look more like a racing car combined with its low body.
For one reason that it was just released in the market, the iQ was receiving much attention as a base for tuning in the 2008 Auto Salon.
Since the GAZOO version was the tuned model of iQ, many people were closely looking even at its details, including the inside of wheelhouse, the bottom, and every corner of the interior, which was a clear sign of its popularity.

Also due to the attention from the overseas media, the GAZOO version had many foreign visitors, among which the European media visited the booth for the sole purpose of checking out the iQ as compact cars were popular in Europe.
Although it was getting favorable resonses in the event, the true value of the GAZOO version could only be "tasted" by driving it.
Is there possibility of commercialization!?
We can't take our eyes off the next step of the GAZOO version.
