Two cars and eight drivers from Team GAZOO will participate in the Nürburgring 24-hour Endurance Race, also known as the “greatest grassroots race in the world.” Through these activities, we hope to introduce our readers to the excitement of grassroots racing and the motor sports culture of Europe, where people tend to be familiar with racing. Furthermore, by participating in the race ourselves, we hope as many GAZOO members as possible will be able to share in the enjoyment and exhilaration that cars can offer.

Of course, Team GAZOO drivers are not professional racers. It is precisely because they are amateurs that they will be able to bring the thrill and excitement of motor sports closer to home from their viewpoint as ordinary drivers. Nevertheless, the 24-hour endurance race, in which four drivers will take turns driving, demands that these drivers undergo rigorous training, which is just as important as the production of the racing vehicle itself. The drivers train very intensely for Nürburgring, participating in grassroots races held in Japan and driving on racing circuits on their days off.
With the help of Toyota Technocraft Co., Ltd. (TRD), two racecars were assembled in preparation for Nürburgring. Expert mechanics from TRD have fine-tuned Team GAZOO's Altezza RS200 in preparation for the grueling 24-hour endurance race and we are determined to complete the race.
